Wild Garlic

It took me some time before I went to this place. I already heard about this thru my friends and decided to visit to see it for myself.

The name Wild Garlic is inspired by the traditional Tagalog cooking style of being liberal with the use of garlic as the main flavor and aromatic ingredient. Filipinos generally regard the aroma of food as a main criterion to how we appreciate sumptuous cooking and, hence, one food chain’s rise to prominence was started by a slogan that best captures this cultural characteristic—“langhap-sarap”.

Wild Garlic restaurant revives old, forgotten Tagalog recipes intertwined with exotic foreign recipes to fill the gap of what traditional culture and taste crave for. It is certainly a welcome addition to Davao’s vibrant restaurant scene where variety and uniqueness are celebrated. Wild Garlic is located at DBP Village in Maa few steps away from S&R. The exterior design will give you the impression of unsophisticated homely feels and the interior design is quite modern and provincial. Old-fashioned food. Chic ambience.

They offer an array of Filipino gastronomic and the price is just right. We tried their best seller Wild Garlic Grilled Chicken Meal and Rustic Chicken Adobo Flaker Meal.

Wild Garlic Grilled Chicken with garlic sauce - a local variation of the Portuguese dish 'peri-peri' -- a richly marinated grilled chicken preparation of healthy & natural 9 herbs & spices sauce. Rustic Chicken Adobo Flakes - chicken adobo cooked twice, flaked & deep fried to perfection.

The chicken was so soft and the adobo was very crispy. Overall, they're tasted good and would love to come back.
