Manga Toshokan Cafe

Origami

Gone are the days in Davao where Otakus are having trouble finding a suitable place to hang around, read manga, draw, eat and watch anime series in one place. The Manga Toshokan Cafe opened its doors on May 2015. Since then, the cafe has been a must visit specially to the anime enthusiasts and the curious alike. A month before it officially opened, I had a chance to peek at this Library Cafe along Palma Gil Street, Davao City and met Bernice Francine Babista, a very young entrepreneur who owns the cafe. Here is the catch; although she owns probably 98% of the mangas that are present in the store, she has only read 45% of them (sorry but they don't offer library cards so it's just sit, dine, watch and read situation). Every now and then, they host some events that are inclined with the interests of the cafe such as Art activities and CosPlays.

Some of the foods that they offer are Seafood Pasta, Chicken Pasta, Omurice (a must try), Katsudon and Okonomiyaki which I call the flat Takoyaki. All the meals specified on the menu are served with a Japanese-French pressed Tea. They also serve smoothies, shakes, frappes and water (lol).
